I've not seen Carr play but you will not get many allstar invites playing Grants schedule. I wonder if the list was out before or after the Oldam game. Helton over Mavis was probably the fact he is 6ft.5. Don't know about Carr' date=' but Mavis probably isn't quick enough to score against the bigger, quicker guards in the state.[/quote']

I now have watched the video and it was an awesome performance, but I am pretty sure none of the players from SK were invited to the tryout either, my reference was about the best in the state, not the 32nd district.

I think Ruthsatz has a an outside chance of impressing during tryouts.

Coleman is 2015, and probably the 4th or 5th best kid in the state in that class. Lyle, Lyles and Bluiett are all quite a bit ahead of any kid in KY except Snider. I'd for sure take Lyle and Lyles over Q, and it is very close with Bluiett...

You are correct. they were mostly seniors.

That's true and again as I said Carr played really good in the district, looks like he should have an outstanding senior year.

Carr def deserved a tryout. Maybe Grant doesn't play the toughest schedule but I think he has proven that he deserved a chance to go up against the best in the state and see how he stacked up. Guess it is a moot point if he is having surgery. Hope that goes well.

Congrats to the NKY boys who were able make this list. Hard to get recognition when you are from NKY it seems like?

Last year I think Rice of Holmes was the only local SR. to make the cut and this year Campbell the only local Sr. to get invited? Did any of Jr's from NKY make the short list last year?

The 2014 class is loaded! It should make for some good hoops next year. Good luck to the young men, I hope NKY gets some representation in the game!

I have seen all the Louisville players, he can play with any. Schedule hurt, and he plays out of position for Grant...(he's a point, not a 2)....such is life. Good luck to all those that received an invite. I also agree with the assessment this team could be loaded, will see who Feldhaus selects.

Wow, if you saw all the Louisville guards and saw Grants games with the area they played in you are a traveling man. I wish I either had your money or your energy. Lol

I have to disagree with you regarding Carr playing out of position. He's exactly where he needs to be. There's no way he is a point guard. He's a scorer not a ball handler and playmaker/floor general.
