I was wondering why he sat out a lot of the game? When he was in and posted up no one threw him the ball. There were several blatant situations where he had his man pinned and was wide open and the wings just ignored him. Am I missing something?

 

You are not missing anything. Yes alot if times the bigs do have their man pinned and the guards don't give them the ball, explainable. I think the coaches expect so much more out of the 6'8" guy. If he plays like he did in the districts Cooper is a team to be wrecked with. But it's not just Louis, this team has yet to play consistent ball all year but if they can win ugly then so be it.

 

Saturday can go either way depending on what team shows up. Holmes will be ready no doubt but if the A-team of Cooper shows up it could make for an interesting game.

What do you mean explainable? I've only seen Cooper twice this year, but if a big guy is going to work his tail off to get great position and the guards don't give him the ball what is his incentive to keep working? You can't expect much from a guy if he isn't part of the game plan. I had no interest in who won the game at all, but several times I even yelled "Give him the ball". Maybe I'm partial to big guys, but if he wasn't going to get it then he never will. Maybe the reason they have been so inconsistent is they don't go inside enough. I just felt sorry for the guy for working to get the ball and having the guards just ignore him. It wasn't like the guards were lighting it up.

IMO Cooper has received all the respect they deserve. They have been one of the top 4 ranked teams in the 9th all year. If they win the next game, they will earn even more respect.
