Well Rupp and Diddle would have to agree to do that because they bid on hosting those tournaments.

Truthfully, I'd feel bad for the girls teams playing in Rupp. It would be like playing in a canyon.

 

And I am not trying to be disrespectful to the girls but if we are going to be honest then we all know that noone would be at Rupp to watch the Girls Sweet Sixteen.

It's all a money thing. Houchens Industries, the big money sponsor for the girl's tournament, is based in the Western Kentucky/Bowling Green part of the state. So, if they are going to put up the big money, they want the girl's tournament played at WKU. The KHSAA says " you got it" and it is played there. Title IX gets pushed aside. I think it would be great to have the girls play at Rupp and you may be surprised with the numbers they could draw there. Lexington is much more centrally located for most of the population centers in Kentucky

Just as the schools have to follow equal spending between girls and boys sports ...I assume the KHSAA has to follow those same guidelines. No way the spending is equal with boys and girls championships especially in Basketball. While the KHSAA audits it's schools for Title 9 Compliance...who audits the KHSAA for compliance?

It's 100% correct. Schools are assessed for equal spending between comparable sports annually. It's irrelevant how much a team profits or fundraises it's all about the expense amount totals.

^ Schools being the operative word. I can't imagine that it applies to an overarching athletic association and its post-season. It would be hard for me to believe, for example, that there is a female gender equivalent to the BCS bowls, for example. Maybe there is and I just don't know about it.

You are comparing apples to oranges, in Title 9 no female sport is compared to Football thus the Football BCS games are irrelevant according to Title 9. The question is does the KHSAA even fall under Title 9? Most schools/organizations that follow Title 9 receive federal funds. I would assume the KHSAA receives no federal monies? Or do they? These monies do include any federal grants.
