In a way Yes. Package deal. :sssh:

If I were them I'd go after Andrew Coverdale!

Currently, Springboro is the story.

Rumor has it former Bengal Javon Langford is looking for a high school gig.

If I were them I'd go after Andrew Coverdale!

I do not think that he is Catholic...but it would be a tremendous selection.

Word is the primary candidate would be Chris Nie, and that most Elder folks feel he deserves to be the "his job to lose" guy. Tony Acito would also be expected to interview considering his ties to the program.

What has Coverdale's record been in Indiana?

I don't know. I don't think he's really had the horses there. He has one of the VERY BEST offensive minds in the country. To say he is organized is an understatement! If anybody doubts what he can do when he has the horses, take a look back at the Brian Brohm days at Trinity! :scared:

Spritzky is Catholic so who knows.

If he was to go, I would have no problem with it, it's a great opportunity for anybody. I just don't see it. He has a very sweet setup at Dixie. He is pretty much king of his own domain and with the new facility that he will have next season it will be the envy of NKY. His Dad and mom are tied to the community, and his dad helps with the team. Bill Vaughn and Dave Sorrell (also coaches) are like family to him. Dave Sorrell is a Teacher at Dixie. Bill and Tom's wives work at Dixie as well. Mrs. Vaughn helps run the office and Mrs. Spritzky is a teacher and a coach. Andy Buford and Brett Blackwell are both former players and students of them all. Andy is a teacher at Dixie, I think Brett subs. So if he was to move on his own accord one would expect that he would want his present and extended family to accompany him. That would be alot of positions to have open. When the day comes that Mr. Vaughn, Mr. Sorrell, and Mr. Tom Spritzky SR. are no longer interested in helping in the program than, yeah maybe. But I think next decade would be a better time for this debate.

He is pretty much king of his own domain .

Yes but is he the "master of his domain"?

And there again, his wife is a teacher and head coach at Dixie for the girls basketball team. So if he isn't, I know who is. But seriously, I think it would be very hard to give up what he has to go to anywhere. Nor do I think that Elder would be that interested. They have a purple bias that negates it from being seriously considered IMO.

My original "Spritzky" post was in jest. I knew APNW was talking about Coach R.

I thought so, but hey, it was there so I thought I'd look at it and talk about it. After all it is January. :D:cool:

To save me from any more PM's, Chris Nie has been the Freshman Coach at Elder for about 16 years. He is an 84 or 85 grad of Elder, incredibly respected around the program, and most Elder guys I have spoken to think he deserves the job. At this way early stage, and considering Reading Ramsey is still employed, I think Nie would probaby be the guy.

Per yesterday's Enquirer, Ramsey is one of 50 applicants for the Springboro job, but he claims he isn't pursuing it and only applied because he received a call and was personally asked to submit an application.

Y-e-a-h, that's the ticket.
