Let me start by saying I am a UK fan. I am a little concerned about the getting some of the recruits that are coming our way. I had a conversation with a friend of mine that is also a UK fan that made the comment that made me think. He said, "UK football will be on probation in a couple of years, there is no way Stoops is bringing some of these guys in legally".

That's right. It's one thing for a program like Ole Miss to get one #1 guy. Three raises eyebrows. Period. Let Florida State get the Harrison twins, Jabari Parker and Julius Randle. You wouldn't think something was funny?

 

You are comparing a football class that is ranked fifth to a basketball class that would be the best of all time. That seems fair.

Come to think of it, I believe that the last time that UK won the SEC was when Fran Curci was coaching, he cheated and UK football was known as "Curci's Convicts". Name was for both cheating and a couple of them either had been before coming to UK or was put in jail during their stay when playing. :lol:

My apologies. I was just trying to come up with an analogy that helped relate. I'm sorry it wasn't more accurate for your tastes.

I just like to have some sort of evidence before I accuse people of something. If a team is cheating, it's not going to change my opinion of them either way.

Don't know a whole lot about Coach Stoops but I seriously doubt if he would break a bunch of rules violations on his first recruiting class, in his first month on the job. new coaches are under the microscope to begin with and I'm sure he's not going to do anything resembling illegal at this point. IMHO

I don't put anything past anyone in this day & time, Bama imo isn't cheating bc now they don't have to, same reason I don't think that Calipari is cheating any. Like Saban, Cal pretty much has his choice.

Going back to Stoops, it's not like that he is getting a boat load of 5 star (top teams) type players. What he has done is getting some players that U.K. football is not used to bringing in. Another thing that some may not have thought of is that his brother at Ok may be suggesting U.K. to some kids that he may not need but doesn't want teams in his conference/rivals to get (something like "I can't use him but I don't want to play against him either).

Anyway, I certainly am not going to question Stoops before there is much more suspicion to do so.
