And in fairness the bar is really low for UK football. While this is a great class by their standards, it is not as if they are signing multiple 5 star guys all of a sudden Ed Orgeron style. They are still in the lower third of recruiting amongst their competition.

Because it's ridiculous to think they're cheating because they're getting guys that would be reserves at most of the elite level schools. These guys are going to UK because they'll still get to play against the best competition in the country, and they'll get more playing time.

There is almost always an uptick in recruiting when a new coach is hired. I would be more concerned if a coach had three straight losing seasons and then brought in an amazing class.

Stoops and his staff have direct recruiting ties to the majority of places where these guys are coming from. You and your friend need to pay closer attention.

I would say, your quote seems as though you made it personal. No big deal, he made a statement. That's one man's opinion. Doesn't make it right or wrong. The same can be said about a lot of recruiting programs.

Some UK fans get sensitive when you question the halo over UK's heads because UK never does anything wrong. They are the victims.

 

I think it is a fair question. I don't think UK is cheating but it's a fair question. The obvious answer is that Stoops and his staff are dynamite recruiters and I am good with that. In the culture of this day and age if UK is cheating I wouldn't be surprised. And if they get caught it will be because the NCAA hates Calipari.
