I love the Cats as the next man, but you are not going to sit here and say Cal is squeaky clean...He is good at what he does, too much smoke. He may not be directly involved but he knows what's going on. He's not the only one, he's just really good at it. That's why he has a target on his back.

 

Information is too wide open these days and there are "reporters" who love to bring down coaches and players. Define squeaky clean? Which coaches are and which aren't? Again, all you are doing is speculating and guessing. Certainly fun to argue things with no facts.

So, are you saying that everything that has happened in the past with Cal has all been lies with no truth to them?

 

Or, do you believe just because he he hasn't been proven guilty without a shadow of a doubt means he's innocent?

Cal doesn't have to cheat at UK, and if he did he's the biggest idiot on the planet. He has it rolling, and to bring that down by cheating for a 5 star kid when all he has to do is replace that target with another 5 star would be the dumbest move in the history of college athletics.

 

Did he cheat at Memphis and UMass? Most likely, but the ax never fell on him even when it swung at both places. He worked the gray areas all the way to the top, and doesn't need them any more...

With regards to Ole Miss, is it that inconceivable to some of you that the #1 recruit in the country would like to play with his brother?

 

 

In regards to the rest of us is it inconceivable that we raise one eyebrow when a program like Ole Miss pull in the #1 player overall, #1 OT and the #1 WR? Alabama? Sure. Ole Miss? I'm raising an eyebrow.

It's gotta start somewhere. You get a fertile recruiting ground like the south and you bring in a guy that is personable, can relate to recruits, and can really sell it and it can be done.

 

With everyone's line of thinking in this thread, there's no chance a team that hasn't always been great can ever conceivably get good players unless they cheat.

Thats what a lot of people think about high school sports in this state so why not carry it on to college?

I just like to have some sort of evidence before I accuse people of something. If a team is cheating, it's not going to change my opinion of them either way.
