a $20 no show fee for missing an appointment?

After I get some opinions I will share more.

I can't really think of a scenario where I would...unless I wanted to get rid of the customer.

Zero issues ever between the customer and the business.

So much for loyalty.

I probably wouldn't charge a someone with 1 year of perfect attendance a 20.00 no show fee let alone someone with 30 years of perfect attendance.

Depends on what the appointment was for?

I would wonder about the peditrician if they have been treating you for at least 30 years.....maybe a blessing indisguise to move on!!!

I am slow....

No way would I charge them.

Is it possible a billing clerk or other employee created the charge just as a SOP? If so, I would be surprised if the pediatrician didn't remove the charge if brought to his/her attention.

Don't worry Toots, I brought it to their attention. More to come later.

Is this a pediatrician that has recently joined in with the St. Elizabeth's Physicians group? (Or another physicians group...)

I don't see any problem with charging them. That's their policy, now if they refuse to remove or credit the charge that's a different story.

I know what you are getting at but I do not believe so. I have always thought they were an Independent and from looking at their website site they have affiliations with more than one group of hospitals.
