Don't undersell the Dogs. T is good but they're not unbeatable. They don't seem to shoot very well from the outside.

Brannen called Holmes the best shooting team he's seen so far and as far as back court goes, they're one of the best in the state. ^^^^^^^^^

Inside "offensive" size will be the difference. Seen both teams play (NC 5 times and Holmes twice). Both nice teams. NC has enough athletes to slow Holmes down ("slow", not stop Bolden and Co.) but I see NC getting what they want inside and pulling away. The safe call is a close game, but I see NC bigs taking over and winning by 8 to 10. I'll say 62-54 or 62-52.

 

I do agree with earlier poster who said teams may not show all they have (different "D" looks, etc.) due to a bigger potential meeting down the road.

I think I'd at least test out that different look while the game really does not matter? Both teams will do whatever it takes to win this game.

Yes, not suggesting both teams won't go "balls out" to win the game at hand. With this region it is no lock they even meet again. Just saying if you have a "special" you would likely save it for when it counts if you do run into them again. Why give them a look now.

Got to get to the game that Counts first. As you stated this region is not a lock. If you have a special and the game is on the line you better make sure it works.

Both teams will lay it on the line tonight...mentally this victory will be huge when the regional tournament comes upon us. We can discuss skill sets, etc...we can't forget these are kids and the mental advantage is huge! Can Holmes stop the NewCath bigs...Can NewCath slow down the Dawgs...will the shot drop from 3 point land?

Should be a good game in a "down" year in the 9th. I pick Holmes by 7. Quickness and pressing negating the size difference.
