Bardstown is no Trinity & NCC was blown out by speed (Trinity). As far as schedule, they all play ninth region and tourneys

 

Bardstown, athletically, is right there w/ Holmes. Holmes is a smarter, better basketball team.

They were not "blown out" by T. Yes, the margin was wide at the end but it was a close game for most of the game.

 

40-35 Trinity at the end of the 3rd quarter. The Breds score the 1st basket to start the 4th to make 40-37, then Trinity said "game on" and went on a run and that was your ball game. Nobody in NKY can come close to the team speed and "muscle" that Trinity has...........NOBODY!!

I say they would have 2 loses (Trinity and Knott Co), maybe 3.

 

No way (IMO) Holmes comes close to beating Trinity.

Their record would be no worse than Newcath's. They have already beaten Covcath. (A team NCC lost to...and for the record, I'm in agreement that NCC wins that game if Seibert doesn't go down)

 

I don't think they lose to Bardstown or KCC. Holmes is much more disciplined than Bardstown and has the athletes to match them. KCC would be a very good game but I don't think KCC would be able to defend all of Holmes' weapons, just like they couldn't defend Newcath. The comment about Justice being better than Bolden and it not being close is way off the mark. Put Bolden on a team where he is "the man" and I guarantee he puts up bigger numbers than he already is. That's what makes Holmes better though and tougher to defend...they don't need Bolden to have huge scoring nights for them to be successful.

 

Both Holmes and Newcath are VERY GOOD teams and there really isn't much difference in the two, IMO

Walter not sure you read my comment correctly concerning Bolden vs. Justice. What I said was, " Bolden is a stud, however not quite at the level of Cameron Justice."

 

I don't think I implied it wasn't close. IMO, Justice (today) is the better player. Before you get upset, Bolden is extremely good (stud).

I have only seen Holmes play once (vs. CovCath), that being said, I think they only fall to Trinity. It would be like men playing against boys, Trinity too much muscle!!! I didn't make the NC/Knott game, but think Holmes vs. Bradstown would be a fun match-up to watch. You would need to put your head on a swivel.

I agree. Just like I don't think Pangallo get the credit he deserves. On almost any other team Pangallo has a better point average than he does on NCC. NCC needs his other skills to be successful.

I'm not upset at all. I've talked to coaches though who have seen both and they agree that Bolden is much tougher to defend. Justice has a better jump shot. Bolden is quicker and has a better handle. Jump shot is good, but not quite as consistent as Justice.

 

Justice has received more attention because of the tough schedule KCC has played. Bolden will get a lot of attention this summer (because of the AAU team he will play with) and blow up, much like Q Snider did and next year Coach Booher is already putting together a schedule that will more than prepare Holmes for the postseason and also get Bolden exposure. I know Coach Booher has been in conatact with the organizers of the Stop DWI tournament up in NY that Trinity played in this year and he took Shelby Valley to one year.

I'm a big Zach Pangallo fan and agree completely. Had the chance to talk to Zach's dad after the All A finals and I even told him how much Zach has come on since the Seibert injury. He doesn't wow you with anything he does but he manages the game well, scores when needed, and defends well.

I would agree, but I think with the size advantage the Breds usually have they take that advantage, and to Zach's credit he gets them the ball. You have a starting five that any night could be the leading scorer and to the teams credit they find the hot hand(s). There has been quite a few occasion where Zach has had the "hot hand" and showed off his shooting abilities.

He has the Pangallo jump shot. You can't explain it, but Jimmy, Nicky, and Zach all shoot the same.

Don't undersell the Dogs. T is good but they're not unbeatable. They don't seem to shoot very well from the outside.
