For some reason I think there IS a small school frosh tourney. I may have officiated the championship game a few years ago. I think it was at Lloyd.

If there is a small school tournament does that mean schools New Cath and St. Henry believe they can compete with the larger schools, or do they just get put into this tournament. I left out Cov Cath because they are a pretty big school so it could go either way with them if i am correct?

Those two were not in the one I remember. It was schools like Lloyd, Ludlow, Dayton, Calvary.

 

CCH has 500 boys in 4 grades. They're not small.

As of this second only the CovCath vs. Cooper game has been canceled as the Cooper Principal didn't what her students out in the weather but from what I understand at the moment, all the other games are on.

 

I will be at CovCath at 8am and if I hear anything pro or con, I will post the information!

Updated Freshman Bracket

 

 

Coaches & Athletic Directors:

Attached is the updated bracket for the freshman regional. We truly appreciate all of you who offered your gym, worked with us on rescheduling and for being patient. Okay, on to the scoop. We will be using six gymnasium's to get the first round games in. Luckily, all first round games will be completed by Tuesday evening. When you look at the bracket, if it does not list a site, the game is at Covington Catholic. First round alternate sites are: Holy Cross, Boone County, Dixie Heights, Conner and St. Henry. I don't want there to be any confusion as to whom is playing where. All schools who are not playing at Cov Cath have been notified by me. After the first round, all games will be played at Covington Catholic.

Dates.

We added an extra date to help

alleviate the need for extra gyms. The semi-finals will now be played on Monday, 2/11 and the finals will be played on Wednesday, 2/13. Those of you who are in the know as to who will be playing in the JV Regional Final, please let them know it will now be played at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday the 13th. Please review your dates to make sure everything is lined up on your end.

No, it's an oldguy, with big thumbs who has arthritic fingers, trying to use a tiny (IMHO) laptop!

 

BTW, I attended a typing class in high school, it was an extra class and not a part of my required core of subjects but it was one of the smartest things I ever did, as it helped me a ton over the years and back then, I could type around 80/90 words a minute, on that old smith-corna manual type-writer, that you had to hit the lever to get it back to square one!

 

Todays kids, would die trying to use that old darn thing!

I still remember my typing teacher Ms. Barker. She had to be at least 120 years old. I still hear in my sleep, ASDF space JKL, semi. Fastest keystrokes in the class, and it comes in handy every day at my job.
