January 24, 201313 yr And from a figurative sense BGP has made me grow up and given me a different perspective on a lot of matters in life. That is what I find cool about it.The friendships I have made is the part I feel is the most rewarding. I have met several in person and a lot more I would love to meet. BF on my bucket list. I love how you can find any info....just ask.
January 24, 201313 yr My senior year of high school. Joined to talk about Bellevue football. Got into some heated arguments with Futurecoach. Classic BGP for me.
January 25, 201313 yr I joined in January 2004 when I was still teaching high school, a year before I retired. Our girls basketball coach told me about the site. I became a member to discuss our high school basketball teams, but later realized that the other forums were enjoyable as well. I've recruited several members from the area where I live. I wish there were more members from the mountains, though.
January 25, 201313 yr I joined just after I turned 28. Been around for 3 1/2 years, and I don't have any plans on leaving soon...it's a part of my day-to-day routine, really.
January 25, 201313 yr Just curious, how long has BGP been around? Since 2000. I know The Guru and Dragonfire were both senior members from the class of 2000, haha. http://bluegrasspreps.com/bluegrasspreps-coms-break/innovation-decade-congratulations-197012.html
January 26, 201313 yr Started during Trinity's 2002 season which was capped with the epic 59-56 win over Male. I was a sophomore in college at the time and dating my first wife. I have gone through college and on to wife #2 at this point along with all sorts of ups and downs in my personality. In fact I kind of wish that the old OLD threads from back in the day were still around. I would love to look at some of the old things I said. I know I have changed quite a bit on here both in tone and in my politics. Although there is only one thing that really hasn't changed and that is my Star Wars posts, those remain consistent.
