Thus 4 more years of free handouts to the vast majority of lazy, unproductive members of our society that voted this clown back into office.

BGH, show some respect. Its President Obama. Not Barry.

Barry Soetoro?

In a hotel in Annapolis.

They blocked off 100+ rooms for the inauguration so the hotel was sold out officially and we were booked in one near BWI for tonight since flying in the morning. This morning was able to stay here for a very cheap rate. Parking lot is empty. No one is here for inauguration but they were expecting to be sold out and selling rooms for $199 or more a night.

Not the party it must have been 4 years ago. But the area is jazzed about the Ravens!

My old (to some extent, anyway) stomping grounds.

My great-grandfather was mayor of Annapolis; 1919-1921.

No, just the vast majority of people who voted for him. Like me, I guess.

If by majority we simply mean more than half, than yes. I can't imagine any one believing differently.

That is interesting. The place seems somewhat timeless along Dock Street. It probably has not changed much except for the traffic. Temps were in the upper 50s today so good walk around weather. Windy on the lacrosse fields at the Naval Academy though.

Decent number of people walking around the docks and near the Navel Academy but it is obvious they were were expecting a lot more people for this weekend. Popularity? Economy? But based on comments from the hotel staff and rooms blocked off that did not get used this is different from 4 years ago.

No. I had to guess that that is where some Inauguration action is happening. It is. In fact, we avoided DC thinking it would be busy for inauguration. But I have not been to the National Building Museum before. It looks like a new 'to-do' next time in the area. My son wanted to do the aquarium in Baltimore but it closes early at this time of year.

The hotel had flyers at desk for shuttles to and from DC for the entire weekend and Monday. But they only had them out today. But it looked like the shuttles ran since Friday. Cost is/was $35 each way per person. Like I posted earlier rooms were supposed to be at least $199 tonight. We got it for $118 after all the no shows. Hotel-wise its dead around here.

My dad taught me to drive in Annapolis and Baltimore. Baltimore because it was a big city; Annapolis because he always said that I could drive in a town laid out around two circles (Church and State), I could drive anywhere.

My grandfather (the mayor's son) was slated to be named to the State Racing Commission in 1964. However, that got derailed when a Republican won the governorship for the first time in many years. The infamous Spiro Agnew.

I choose to believe that significantly less than half of Americans are lazy, unproductive members of our society.
