Per the KHSAA, semi-finals are now Saturday evening at 7:30 and the championship game is at 2:00 on Sunday.

I'm thinking the semifinals are at 7:30 and then the second game is after the first. Doesn't UK play at noon that day? That's the reason for the time change isn't it?

The coaches and players don't like it (Sat.Sat), especially if you play the last game Saturday morning/afternoon.

Mike Fields & Danny Weddle both say the semi-finals "start" at 7:30.

I like tradition like the next guy, but I can't see how the championship won't be better for the participants to at least get a nights sleep on tired legs.
