I only got to post #2 before I needed a reason to link this.

Sooooo, Cutler should have 'gutted it out' but it's Shanahan's fault because RGIII gutted it out? Gotta love archives. :D

Cutler and Lovie Smith got blasted for this same situation last year. I can almost guarantee, Shanahan gets criticized if RG3 had gotten pulled. Lets face it, no one was calling for his head in any of the last 2 games RG3 played in prior to the playoffs when he was clearly not healthy. He was facing the same risk in those games.

Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And if they win then he has a QB controversy as Cousins would now be 2-0 in relief of RGIII. Shanahan still loses. Especially if after that game RGIII says he was fine and could have continued playing.

Shanahan loses in any case like you said. The real problem was letting RGIII Play in the first place.

I liked RGIII a lot until I heard hiis own comments after the game, the arrogance bug has got hold of him pretty good.

And if he wins the game, he's a warrior, hero.

Edit.

I guess Andrews has revised his statement now. Weird.

Mort just reported that RGIII is going to have "total reconstructive" surgery on a torn LCL and ACL. Expected to miss 6-8 months.

Heard this on the radio this morning. Things are not looking good in Washington.

So much for RGIII's career.

Does the name Adrian Peterson ring a bell?

^Second ACL tear to the same knee in a 3-4 year span. AP is a freak, and not the norm.

If RGIII get the propery recovery time he'll be fine. However, that likely won't happen since they're saying 6-8 months. He needs 8 months at a minimum

The Dr. on Mike & Mike this morning said it was crazy to think he'll be able to come back to where he was pre-injury. Said the ligaments don't get stronger, or even back to their original state, and that it's a myth when people say they do.
