Final per Alex Risen on twitter. Looking forward to details. This game lived up to the hype.

Wow. Wish I was at this one.

They will probably play 2 more times.

Wow. Wish I was at this one.

I was sooooo close to going. I don't regret not being there though.

SC's Seth Crank nails three-pointer at buzzer to send into OT. Cards got enough stops late then Crank hit a pair of free throws to ice it.

An amazing game to watch.

WOW. Thanks for the info. Really appreciate it.

Henry Clay blew it late. Great shot by Crank but Henry Clay got out of his way and gave him an open look on a full court play with 2.3 seconds left. For my taste, Henry Clay should have called timeout after the second free throw to set their defense. Instead they let it play out and allowed a 50 foot pass and 2 dribbles for an uncontested three.

The officiating was awful both ways all night. So inconsistent. An embarrassment to the BBA in my opinion. Too many calls made on one team to offset a questionable against another.

Where played?

Henry Clay’s boys’ basketball team went 11-0 in December, winning the Woodford County Invitational Tournament and Lexington Catholic’s Republic Bank Holiday Classic along the way.

But the No. 4 Blue Devils are 0-1 in January after losing to No. 5 and host Scott County 89-86 in overtime Friday night.

The game had 17 lead changes and 10 ties.

Scott County’s hero was Seth Crank, who it a three-pointer with one second left in regulation to tie it 79-79 and force the extra period. Crank then hit two free throws with 12 seconds left in OT for the final score.

Quin Richardson led the Cardinals with 26 points, and his backcourt running mate Trent Gilbert had 20.

Christen Cunningham’s 23 points paced Henry Clay. Jordan Green had 22.

Last February, Henry Clay ended a six-year, 17-game losing streak to Scott County. The Blue Devils beat their district rivals again last month in the finals of the Woodford County Invitational. But Scott County avenged that loss with Friday night’s victory.

The teams will meet again on Feb. 5 at Henry Clay.

This is why HC will have trouble getting out of district play...happens every year....lack of coaching and clutch play by team...

They've lost to the #2 team in the state by 2 and is now 1-1 against #8 team in the state(which they previously defeated by 10).

They have defeated Bryan Station(arguably a top 20 team in the state) by 4, #5 Trinity by 2, #6 Butler by 15, #15 John Hardin by 25, #10 Knott Central by 2 and #17 Lexington Catholic by 5.

Show me a better 2012-13 résumé in the state. They very well may not get out of district as they have one of the tougher districts in the state this year but I still won't base their season on that one loss. They have been one of the top 5 teams in the state this year regardless of your hatred for them.

No hatred here my friend, just stating facts....I'm not a hater of anyone including HC...sorry to hit a nerve with you!!!
