January 3, 201313 yr Personally, I would hope I could restrain myself from taking vigilante action if something like this happened to my sister. Though it would be a moot point because I know my Dad and these guys would be feeding the catfish in the Rolling Fork River...
January 3, 201313 yr Exactly.I definitely think it's wrong. However, it would be extremely hard to sit on a jury, watch that tape, and then convict a father who took A Time to Kill actions...
January 3, 201313 yr Author The kid in the tape talked 12 minutes about this? And why did another kid tape 12 minutes of this guy talking about it? ODD! I have read that a kid who lived in one of the places she was raped, is the son of a prosecutor in the area.

January 3, 201313 yr I couldn't watch the whole video. That idiot thinks he's hilarious but he's not. Absolutely sickening. If it were my daughter/sister it would be very difficult not to handle the punishment for these fellas on my own. Who the hell could sit around and watch all of this and then laugh and joke about it?
January 3, 201313 yr Author Nate Hubbard, 27, a volunteer Big Red coach, went so far as to accuse the victim of making the whole thing up to excuse a night of excessive partying, “The rape was just an excuse, I think,” he told the New York Times. “What else are you going to tell your parents when you come home drunk like that and after a night like that?” Hubbard asked. “She had to make up something. Now people are trying to blow up our football program because of it.”

January 3, 201313 yr That is extremely disturbing. Good work by Anonymous to make sure this doesn't get swept under the rug.
January 3, 201313 yr The case has split the town, where high school football is a community focus. A trial is set Feb. 13. County prosecutor Jane Hanlin, whose son plays football for Steubenville, has recused herself from the case, as has a local judge. Glad to see locals had enough sense to recuse themselves from this.
January 3, 201313 yr Anyone else here someone in the background talking about how he's going to get 20 years and about it being illegal throughout the beginning of the video?
January 3, 201313 yr That is extremely disturbing. Good work by Anonymous to make sure this doesn't get swept under the rug. From what I read it wasn't getting swept under the rug. They have already charged two people, even though most witnesses are not cooperating.
January 3, 201313 yr Author From what I read it wasn't getting swept under the rug. They have already charged two people, even though most witnesses are not cooperating. The two are not being charged as adults, the coaches and others in the school are acting like either nothing happened or blaming the girl. The more attention brought to this will put pressure to do the right thing. The coaches were more interested in how it would effect the football team than the victim. Sounds a bit like Penn State.

I just meant it sounds like the police are at least trying...
