December 31, 201213 yr He stunk almost 99% of every game. He was blessed to be on a team with a strong D. Way big disagreement on what stinking is. That team with a strong D was 1-4 before he became the starting QB. Don't let reality influence your wild assertion that he "stunk almost 99% of every game". The facts simply do not support your assertion.
December 31, 201213 yr Shawn Cathcart @mizzoupoke @ESPN_Colin The man who signed Peyton Manning is going to be the NFL's Executive of the Year. The one who drafted and started Sanchez just got fired. I fixed that for you.

The 2 wins when the D gave up points were against really bad teams - OAK and MIN In his last 3 games (all losses) his completion % was 50, 45, and 27. In those 3 he had 1 TD and 4 INTs. He was lucky he played on a strong defensive team.

December 31, 201213 yr Peyton Manning was a great move by the Broncos. He is a sure-fire Hall of Fame QB. Although Tim is not a prototype NFL QB, he was 8-5 with a playoff win last year. And, nerves of steel at crunch time. I am amazed that people can ignore the success he had last year just because Denver brought in one of the greatest QB's to ever play the game in Peyton Manning. Actually I ignored his 'success' last year also. Fluke. He'll never see true success in the NFL. I love that 8-5 makes you good and successful.
December 31, 201213 yr He stunk almost 99% of every game. He was blessed to be on a team with a strong D. And a better than average running game. Including him running the ball and not throwing it like normal QBs do.

Don't let reality influence your wild assertion that he "stunk almost 99% of every game". The facts simply do not support your assertion. Check the schedule. They played weaker teams to finish the season as well. They also backed into the playoffs and lost 3 of their last 4 didn't they?

He barely threw 50% and the bulk of his success came when he ran the ball. Not when he threw it. Like normal QBs do. He sucked for 3 and half quarters, the D and running game kept them in the game and he had 1 good game winning drive every game. Awesome. He is awesome.
December 31, 201213 yr For those that think Tebow can be a starting QB in the NFL tell me which team you root for. The Florida Gators.
December 31, 201213 yr Tebow is an awesome guy. He can circumcise my next born kid anyday. He cannot be the QB on my favorite NFL teams or I will find a new team to root for.
December 31, 201213 yr It has always been my belief that Tim Tebow was brought to the Jets because the newly-crowned Super Bowl-winning Giants were getting all the headlines in the Big Apple. Tebow can win you a few games as a flash in the pan; but year in and year out, he simply can't throw the ball well enough to be a reliable NFL quarterback. I cannot see a team building an offense around him. Wonderful human being, great role model, bad quarterback. I'm with Stephen A. on this one, and I'm not drinking the Skip Bayless Kool-Aid.
December 31, 201213 yr What would be John Elway's motivation for getting rid of Tebow if he actually could play QB?? Then the Jets bypass him at every opportunity....why on earth would they do that if he actually could play QB? The guy is a great person, no doubt, but he's not an NFL QB. Lots of guys are great ballers and not decent human beings. I think Tebow should hang his hat on being excellent in the arena that truly matters.

I just feel if a QB in their first 16 starts goes 8-8 with his TD/INT ratio, they are not dismissed as all luck. I do think people dismiss his intangible leadership qualities. He elevated a sinking ship, even on the defensive side of the ball. Some guys despite their game just know how to win and will teams to a win. You see that in all sports.

He was forced in as a PR stunt and he kept finding ways to win despite being handcuffed. You have Manning out there, you take him. The Jets with their prideful coach were worried about headlines, not winning. You are not going to convince me he couldn't have done as well or better than Sanchez.
December 31, 201213 yr Author Funny how you stop before the Pittsburgh game in reciting stats. . Fair but 1. I forgot about that and 2. This link didn't show that game for some reason. Tim Tebow Career Game Log - Pro-Football-Reference.com It doesn't change the entire picture.
