Good afternoon everyone. We continue to track a winter storm toward Kentucky. Rain and snow will develop from southwest to northeast this afternoon and evening. Temperatures today have not responded very much at all and the models are busting too warm. We will have to see what impact that has on precipitation type this evening and overnight.

 

Here is a rough call for snowfall…

SNOWFALL TOTALS BY SATURDAY AFTERNOON:

 

2” – 3” (some locations getting 4”) – From southeast Indiana, up through Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky, into Butler, Warren and Clinton Counties.

 

1” -2” – Northern Kentucky, into our eastern Ohio counties.

 

I've given up on snow.

 

5" means you get 1 or less.

 

1-3 ranges usually means a dusting or in most cases, just rain.

 

I'm not big fan of Winter, but I love it this time of year...just enough of the white stuff to really make things feel seasonal. Where I'm at in KY, Christmas Day was a good mocking of what it's like to live in Seattle on Christmas.

I am going to head to Independence Kroger and load up on snacks so if it down come down tomorrow I will bust out the snow blower then relax on the couch eating junk food while the girls play with Christmas gifts.

nope, they came out with the snow emergency around noon today, to get out in front of the snow.

Yawn, here we go again, another 1-2 inch of snow winter storm, oh how times have changed. I sure hope we get something, there is so much salt on the roads it's like driving on gravel roads. I, like everyone else has given up on snow since the mid 90's

Just came home from Florence to southern Independence and it was coming down at a pretty moderate rate.
