Coolest gift you gave for Christmas

Featured Replies

Wow, must be nice.

I got my wife a new pair of cross trainers..........just in case she needs to push her car out of the way when it stalls.

My wife and I got the kids a trip to Disney this July (really for the whole family). We had a blast last year, by far the best vacation we've had as a family.

I gave my folks each an ipad mini. My mom and all my aunts had the best time at our extended family party with the elf yourself app.

On Christmas eve when my son turned 18 he called me and said dad I am coming home to live with you and she can not stop me.

By far the greatest present I ever received.

My brother got my mom an iPad & she loves getting photos from the great grand boys! FaceTime is priceless when loved ones live far away. Great gift Pete W!

Good stuff! Father-in-law discovered the casino slot app on the ipad. Very loud but he was having a great time!

My wife's mother passed away early this year. I with the permission of my father in law took several shirts that belonged to my mother in law and had them made into a quilt for my wife. Each shirt meant something different; one was a Somerset Football shirt that she wore to my son's games, there was a t-shirt from vacation bible school last year, a shirt from a softball tourney played in Memorial to my wife's brother, homemade and hand painted scarecrow sweatshirt and many others. We even used one shirt that had a stain on it as it was a running family joke that dinner wasn't over until she spilled something on her shirt. As expected it was very emotional when she saw the blanket, but each day it seems to bring back a different good memory from the past. This may not fit the definition of "Cool" for some but it was pretty cool for us.

That is very very cool. What a great idea!

^Reminds me of another cool gift given. A very close friend's dad died on Dec. 17. A group of us got her a "thumbprint". It is her Dad's thumbprint in sterling silver. You put it on a chain and wear as a necklace.
