A very good argument can be made that Rodgers or Brady had better seasons than Manning. AP was the only guy on his team that could do anything offensively and they couldn't stop him. Teams were putting 9 in the box on some plays and he was still carving them up. This is the easiest MVP choice in a long long time IMO. Has to be AP, it just has to be.

I couldn't agree more. AP this year is the textbook definition of what an NFL MVP should be.

I feel like this helps AP's arguement more:

Broncos rushing attack was ranked 16th in the league.

Vikings passing attack was 31st.

AP had zero help!

They have all been impressive & I honestly think a legitimate case can be made for each of them. Manning never ceases to amaze me. Love what A.P. has done this year. Luck has been as advertised. RGIII is probably my favorite player to watch. But I voted for Russell Wilson, probably because he doesn't seem to garner the attention the other guys do.

Another nod to AP....Look how valuable he is to the Vikings. You take him off the team and Minnesota is most likely OTC. You take Manning off Denver, and they're still winning that division, and most likely easily. Hell, the guy most on here think is the world's worst QB led the same Broncos team to the postseason (and won a game there) last year. AP is easily the most valuable player to his team in the league.

We don't know that Tebow would still be in Denver so you can't say that. Blind specualtion.

I'd still take Luck over AP.

I don't get the easily it goes to AP attitude. Seems like this is a tough choice IMO with the nod to Peyton. At this point give them co-MVP but I'd still take Luck over AP.

If we're going stats then it should be Calvin Johnson. He actually broke the record at his position.

Didn't Brees and Brady both break the passing record last season? Who got MVP last season?

Luck isn't even the best of the rookies. No way you can take him over AP.

Not to mention, the Vikings squeezed into the playoffs because Green Bay played horrible defense on 3rd and long late in the 4th. It's not like AP convincingly got them into the playoffs and it's not like he is the only reason they made the playoffs. Take Rodgers off of Green Bay and they are OTC. Take Brady off the Pats...OTC. Take Manning off of Denver....OTC. Take Luck off the Colts....OTC. You can make the same statement for all of them. The Vikings have been OTC WITH AP.

What he has done to Indy in his rookie season is more impressive than Wilson and RGIII IMO. Colts won 2 games last year. 2 games. They won 11 this year and made the playoffs. RGIII won 10 and took the Redskins to the playoffs and won a tough NFC East. Seattle was better equipped for Wtlson to step in and succeed out of the 3. All 3 exceeded expectations and delivered the unexpected. Luck did the most with the least.

Right, but you guys say Tebow is the worst QB there is, so if the worst QB in the league can take them to the postseason, then doesn't it stand to reason that any other QB in the league would be an improvement and thus take them to the postseason?

And no, if you took Aaron Rodgers off Green Bay, Brady off NE, etc., they would not be OTC. They'd maybe miss the postseason, but they wouldn't have had the worst record in the league. Minnesota would have.

Vikings won 3 games last year. 3 games. They won 10 this year and made the playoffs. They did all this while every opposing defense knew they weren't going to throw the ball, and they still couldn't stop AP. They ran for more yards than they threw for, they averaged more yards per carry than yards per attempt. You realize how crazy that is?

But they aren't in the playoffs. Peyton has taken a crappy 8-8 team that backed into the playoffs last season to a team playing for home field advantage. Huge difference.

Sorry, I arrived way late in the conversation, but They are now!!

I hope that both Peterson and Manning are rewarded for their outstanding seasons and Peterson gets MVP and Manning gets Comeback Player of the Year.

And Indianapolis won 2. Luck brought more victories to the Colts than AP brought to Minnesota. 9 more victories is more than 7 more victories. I value victories more than yards per carry. #sorrynotsorry

What do Blaine Gabbert, Nick Foles, Christian Ponder, and Ryan Fitzpatrick all have in common? Higher QBR than Andrew Luck.
