He's no worse then about 90% of other college head coaches. And yes if he recruited my kid and my kid wanted to I would let him play for Petrino.

Really? REALLY????

How many others used their influence to hire their mistress within the athletic department? C'MON MAN

I think you have the dynamics reversed, he's way worse than 90% of college head coaches.

Often times in UK's defense, I hear Cat fans with blinders on talking about how, "Well, we are UK and we play in the SEC. Kids want to play in the best conference."......really? Is that the case for UK basketball? I don't hear that defense for why kids want to play round ball for Cal. I think it's pretty safe to say that "Playing in the SEC" is the last reason for UK basketball commits. Point is, who cares what conference you are playing in if you are getting beat all the time.

When UK was recruiting well under the Brooks era, they were getting guys overlooked by top tier SEC schools but still thought they were good enough to play in the SEC. Comparing basketball and football in recruiting is completely unfair for MANY reasons, too many to list. If you grow up in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, etc but aren't heavily recruited by those schools, you go to a school like UK with a chip on your shoulder and are sold on the fact that you can play earlier in your career there. At least, that is the theory.

I have spent all of my adult life directly involved with athletics and a big portion of that with college athletics. One constant is that I NEVER met a college head coach that would not push the envelope as far as he/she could and ask for forgiveness after the fact when they stepped over the line. I firmly believe the ratio that I stated and believe that it has gotten worse in recent years.

And if you really think that Petrino is the first head coach to line his squeeze up with a job you have another think coming. PM me and I'll tell you a couple of true stories that I don't want to post here.

I believe you and you most certainly would have more experience than me.

However, if you are asked for a list of scumbag coaches, I'm sure Petrino is at the top of many. I simply don't believe 90% of college coaches would do what he did.

Bobby P to WKU lures away some of Kentucky's home grown talent away from UL or UK?

A whole lot less than the chances that he won't. Your really reaching to be honest. Strong staying at UL and UK upgrading with their staff, it's just not gonna happen on a scale enough to make a difference.

Reese Phillips 3* QB out of Tennessee is super excited that he talked with Neal Brown today and looks forward to meeting him tomorrow not only at his school in TN but also at his parents house.

Jason Hatcher is expected to visit UK. Per Twitter

Kentucky best be recruiting Mr. Damien Harris at Madison Southern hard and heavy for 2015.

Don't expect for Hatcher to go to UK......Dawkins might if offered......Quick will be Louisville or OSU......White will stay with Vandy.

I could see Travis and Daylen end up at WKU.....Hatcher is an outside shot for Louisville.....he may end up at UF......I believe that Quick will be a Cardinal.

I also feel Petrino will put the full court press on for Ryan Timmons.

Are you saying that the kid at Madison Southern is good enough to play tailback in the SEC. Maybe he is, but statistically, it would be doubtful. What is his height and weight? Does he run sub 4.5 on the radar gun? Tailback in the SEC have to be ridiculous to be sucessful.

I don't know what Bobby P. is doing in Kentucky, but he is already losing Florida commits.

Joe Fennell, a three-star 6-5, 320-pound guard from South Fort Meyer, went with Taggart.

That's not a shock. A Florida kid going with Taggart to a school in Florida. Not shocking one bit
