Yes but they can be happy with the photos of their players. Why in the world would the Enquirer put pictures of CovCath players making plays when they are no longer in the playoffs. Stupid IMO Sure lets show Zach Harris getting stuck by DJ Powell and fumbling the ball.

 

That should make up for the headline.

 

Agreed. the picture of the Blueboy being tackled by Wrobleski (not in the pic) was odd to say the least.

 

The pic of Harris dumping it also was weird to say the least.

 

And the the whole "equal" thingy was just down right disrespectful to the CovCath camp imo.

■ Highlands Coach Dale Mueller is so impressed with Lexington Catholic sophomore QB Reese Ryan's strong arm that in practice this week he's had the Bluebirds use a youth-league size football. "We don't have a scout-team quarterback who can throw a regular ball 60 yards down field, so we've been using a smaller ball to simulate how far (Ryan) can throw it," Mueller said."

For the last couple of months I have indicated that the goals the Knights program did not change after the season ending injury to Louisville recruit Kyle Bolin after many wrote off the team after Bolin's injury. That is still true. But that said many will have still asked if the fans wish Bolin was playing tonight. The answer to that is obviously yes. Bolin has been a leader his entire time at LexCath and even before in the middle school program. If LexCath manages to win tonight the victory will still belong to Bolin. Probably his best game was last years Boyle regular season game leading the Knights to a come from behind win at Boyle County and securing the playoff game home field advantage. That resulted in the first LexCath regional championship in 4 years. Bolins leadership was key during this period and in the early part of this year.

 

The Knights have had a number of games to adjust to the post-Bolin era. Reese Ryan had not thrown a varsity TD until September of this year. But he has stepped in and done a great job in a very difficult situation. Win or lose tonight both Bolin and Reese have handled this difficult season in an outstanding manner.

Lots of biased toward CCH in the newspapers. Always has been. We just have to get used to it. There are no bird fans at the Enquirer. No big deal. Let them have the pictures in the paper, we'll take 6 in a row instead. Enough about them, this is a thread about the catholic school still in the playoffs.
