He left the game in second quarter banged up and did not play the second half. Probably just precautionary I would guess.

Josh Cain has been a silent leader of this NewCath team. The young man had another QB come to school in spring talking how he was going to be the man and Cain proved he was better during the off season and won his spot. He never backed down from the challenge. He leads the Breds offense down the field calm and steady. The young man has been through a lot during the off season and early this season vs larger schools and never quit. Josh has proven to be a far better QB and a great leader for the Breds. This young man seems to not get as much credit as he should with so many talented players on the team. Keep the boys rolling Josh!!

Well said. He is laser accurate and steady in the pocket. He also can tuck it run when necessary. Clearly the player that makes it all work on offense.

You're right that young man didn't miss a beat. He took some hard hits as well but just got right back up. It seems like he is really stepping up and doing his best to help this team out.

They had a strong contingent at the game. From what I was told they will have a good portion of this team returning next season, including the Lattimore brothers, as well as a nice group coming up in the younger ranks. Coach Barth and his staff have done an excellent job in their short tenure in building this program. If they continue to build in this direction look to see them in the Regional Finals many more times.

I think the Smith kid is the next Hightchew type athlete at NCC..He used to be a very good baseball player when he was younger. I don't believe he plays anymore though..

Speaking of hard hits, my hat is off to the WV QB as he had to be sore Saturday. He just took the licks and came back ticking until near the end when it was over. He was hit several times as hard as anyone I have seen this year, especially the one time he was face down on the turf. But he got up and came back for more. My wife even said he had to be sore after the game.
