So they chose to lose to Campbell in the regular season due to the inability to run the ball (ie. Time of possession and leaving the defense on the field)? They could have run it, they just chose not to?

Good question, I personally think they just weren't patient enough when the runs didn't work. TOP killed them against both Campbell and Dixie for sure.

No it did not. It had everything to do with developing the confidence of a quarterback. SK could always run the ball and have proven so against playoff competition, they at times chose not to.

 

What was their motive? To win two easy playoff games?? Now pack it up, that'll keep em happy for another year!

 

Plain and simple...we're not saying stack the schedule with teams that are going to beat you down every week. We're saying put a couple of tough games on the schedule so you are a deer in the head lights when you see a team like Scott co and others. If you play a couple better teams a year, your program will get stronger...period! Kids and community see what's really out there and step up the off season dedication to make the program better.

I didn't see the Scott County game but they were night and day better than the Dixie game. It's amazing what a running game can do to loosen up the defense. Tons of quick passes which lead to a nice percentage.

The cb jumped the route with confidence becuse of the athletes SC had in the secondary behind him. Power running with occassional passing is definately the right approach.

 

SC has more elite athletes on their team than we have in our whole district. Imagine what kind of a team you could field if there was only one HS in Kenton County.

You can't compare the two counties! Scott Co only has 48k people. Kenton Co has 160k. Why should they have more than one school??

AND, if you just took SK, Scott and Dixie, you'd have over 3800 kids at one school! No wonder you'd have a lot of athletes. There's a lot more to look at than just saying Scott co has a ton of kids to choose from...no wonder they are so good. They also have a lot of rural area and several farm boys usually means a lot of boys don't play sports. Ask Camp Co! When I was in school, camp co had kids walking the halls that look like D1 linemen and they never played football. They worked on the farm! I'm sure that eliminates some of the kids at Scott co too. I saw Scott co play. They have a couple of nice athletes at the skill positions. But if you are saying they have way more athletes than SK, than SK is worst off than I thought. Outside of maybe two guys, no one else looked very impressive at all. Maybe all their other athletes had bad nights.

If the rest of the Neer fans were as passionate as you and UK Fan, it would be fixed and you would be competitive. But I think you're fighting an uphill battle because I think the rest could take it or leave it when it comes to football at SK. And I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that.
