October 31, 201213 yr Simple: Don't vote if you're afraid something might change your mind. We shouldn't make voting hard. We shouldn't make it too easy either. That is how voting fraud occurs.
October 31, 201213 yr We shouldn't make it too easy either. That is how voting fraud occurs. Voting fraud can exist in every possible method of voting.
October 31, 201213 yr What is the problem with early voting? Also, we should move election day to the weekend. Tuesday's not a very practical day for it. YES!
October 31, 201213 yr What is the problem with early voting? Also, we should move election day to the weekend. Tuesday's not a very practical day for it. No problem with early voting but, what's not practical about voting on a Tuesday? What makes the weekend practical? Workday? Everyone I know that votes have voted for many elections including myself. Not one of us has ever had a problem being able to vote.
November 1, 201213 yr No matter when it is or what the rules are, anyone who truly wants to vote will.

Everyone I know that votes have voted for many elections including myself. Not one of us has ever had a problem being able to vote. Weekdays are horrible for many of us who have unpredictable workdays. But, I think the worst for me is a 6pm end time. Even if on a weekend many people work and have difficulty getting to the polls during the 6a-6p window.
November 1, 201213 yr What is the problem with early voting? Also, we should move election day to the weekend. Tuesday's not a very practical day for it. My only comment to that is that many service industry workers (in particular, as that is my industry ) work weekends, and it's not an option. It solves nothing for them to move it. Longer poll hours would help more.
November 1, 201213 yr I have a real problem with early voting. So many things can happen between the time you vote early and election day that could possibly change your vote. I only believe in absentee voting for those that are going to be out of town or who are not physically able to get to the polls. Whose crystal ball is clear reliable enough to tell them with 100% certainty that they will be physically able to be at the polls on election day? Mine isn't.

November 1, 201213 yr As far as I know, employers have to allow their employees time to vote. They do, but for many that is an uncomfortable conversation to have if you know you will be gone for an extended period and under some kind of deadline.
November 1, 201213 yr Author They do, but for many that is an uncomfortable conversation to have if you know you will be gone for an extended period and under some kind of deadline. Shouldn't be. It's everyone's American right to vote. Companies have zero say in the matter.

November 1, 201213 yr Author Some of have jobs we can't just walk away from at a defined time or daily reporting required early in the morning. And, in my particular case, a long commute as well. They're required to. If they don't they're violating the law... KY's law: Kentucky Ky. Const. § 148; Ky. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 118.035 Time off work for voting: “Reasonable time,” but not less than 4 hours. Employer may decide when hours are taken. Time off is paid: No. Employee must request leave in advance: One day before election. Employee required to show proof of voting: No proof specified, but employee who takes time off and does not vote may be subject to disciplinary action.
November 1, 201213 yr Shouldn't be. It's everyone's American right to vote. Companies have zero say in the matter. Tell that to your manager when you have a looming deadline. Trust me, right or wrong, it will come back to haunt you. The longer hours would be very helpful but I believe they have a tough time now getting poll workers.
