This came up on a call on KSR this morning.

 

What would UL's record be against UK's schedule?

4-4. Losing to Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina for sure. Mississippi State would probably be the other loss though I do not think they are all that wonderful. Couple other games would be battles though.

I'll say 5-3. I don't think Louisville would lose to Mississippi State at home, if they had played in Starkeville I could see State winning.

I am not sure they'd lose to USC.....if they got the same effort UGA gave UK, they could've taken that one.

Much better than UK, that's for sure. UK stinks this year and it is on Joker. Talk all they want to about the schedule. That is who UK is going to play every year in the SEC. If Joker can't compete with that schedule, then it is time to find someone else. As a UK fan, I don't care how UL would do against the UK schedule.

I can't see how they could be any better than 4-4. I mean, a top little East team did just get beat by double digits to Kent State...

 

Being a ND/UK fan... If ND is to lose a game and not be unbeaten, I hope they play Louisville in a bowl and expose them.

 

The only thing that would suck about that game would be it wouldn't be a good measuring stick to were ND stood.. At least for the national media.

 

Regardless, I hope UL draws a SEC team, or at least someone with a big boy defense so we can see how good UL actually is.

Most UL folks on here are pretty realistic about what the Cards are. They have a top level QB but are flawed in other areas. If you had to choose one position to be good at on a team, QB would be that position since he can account for a few wins.

So you're saying 8-1 at this point/11-1 overall? UofL has an average margin of victory of 4.2 vs UNC, FIU, SMU, USC, and UC. With even slightly better opponents, the Cards drop a couple of games easy.

 

The abuse of playing a full SEC schedule has to be accounted for too. UofL would be a lot more banged up than they are in the Big East.

No......that's not what I said....I was using if's and but's.......BUT, UK was up on USC at the half of that game...U of L might have been as well.....and UK got a soft UGA effort looking ahead to the Cocktail Party.....I'll say 6-2, but I certainly don't think any worse than 5-3.

Realistic? Someone just said they would probably beat UGA and for sure USC.

 

If they would win, I'll tip my cap. Until then I just have a hard time believing UL or any big East team is a top 10-15 team in the country.

 

ND has had the same thing said about them all year.

I hope that UL wins enough to get to a BCS game.....and then draws an SEC or FSU..... I think they have speed...and an elite QB...that can make things interesting.
