Good win PRP!

Guess that weak early season schedule everyone was talking about with PRP hasn't hurt them after all. Sounds like they may be a strong contender to reach the finals.

I think PRP is the undisputed favorite to reach the finals out of that side of the bracket. The 3 best teams are all on the other side.

A 6A squad squeaking by a good 3A squad doesn't mean they are that good. Central is tough, but this isn't nearly their best squad in recent years.

I agree. Actually, I am surprised the margin was as close as it was. If PRP is supposed to be all that, then they should have handled the Jackets more easily, but maybe the weather was an equalizer.

Shouldn't St X have done the same? Central played right with them too. Central may only be a 3a school, but, I guarantee you they'd be a top 5 6a team and are 1 of the top 10 teams in entire state regardless of class.

You may be right. Late in the year I would think that a smaller school team would suffer more attrition than a larger one. Central may very well be ranked in the top 10 statewide in the computer polls. I still think that if PRP is as good as some have indicated, then they should have won by 2-3 TD's.

And, the fact that Central fumbled (10) times, seems like this should have been a wider margin???

I guess Highlands should lose to PRP by 2-3 scores too since they're just a 4a school, but, I bet they'd be getting a lot of praise with a 1 pt win over them.

If Highlands only beat PRP by one point you would have to go lock all the knives up in Ft. Thomas as the Bluebird faithful would be on suicide watch.

St X did beat central by 2 tds, but nevertheless good win PRP. Also Central fumbled 10 times? And lost by 1?

Although Central fumbled 10 times, they only lost 2, and sometimes fumbles do go forward and result in additional yardage when you recover them. On the other hand, PRP only fumbled twice but lost one. So the net turnover difference was only one.

Central is an excellent team and would be very competitive in 6A.
