Predictions Beechwood/Ryle (Frosh)

Recommended Posts

I will go with Beechwood.. I just think they have more weapons on the offensive side of the ball. It would not surprise me if Ryle won though..

Agreed, after watching both teams this year, I pick Beechwood to win it but Ryle could win it as well! The future is bright at both schools if the kids develop.

Beechwood by two scores. The tigers defense will shut down England. Beechwood's D gets to the ball in mass and come angry. I was impressed when they played Highlands by an apparent sense of pride to get as many people as possible to the football. Beechwood 28-14.

I saw both teams play as well and that score sounds about right.

Would be nice to see this game played on a "neutral" field. Did BW earn the Home Field or is the frosh championship always played at BW? Just curious.
It's not always held at BW, not sure how they determine it but I do know that When Cooper Frosh went undefeated back in 2009 they played Beechwood in the championship game and it was at Cooper that year.

Ryle made every effort to the get the game, but the new hard-nosed AD at Beechwood would have nothing of it. She told me that the Ryle AD wanted to flip a coin. She told him that if Beechwood finishes undefeated they deserved to host (this was before the cov cath game). Other discussions as well but she planned on hosting even if Beechwood lost to Cov Cath.

Not entirely true. It was agreed by both AD's that if Beechwood finished undefeated they deserved to host. If they had lost to Cov. Cath there would have been a coin flip to determine home field. As it turned out Beechwood went undefeated, they deserve it. May best team win tonight.

Just reporting what I was told.
