Boone with Thompson won the Regional Title just last year and made it to final 4 in state.

Their Sr. and Jr. classes are just down in talent at Boone. Boone has some good talent in the Sophomore and Freshman classes.

 

Agreed, coach Thompson can't play for them, for the most part I would say in NKY, at least 75% or even more go through years when the talent level isn't there, I know each year some one is alwys wanting coach Thompson let go, but each year he is still there, why, the administration seems to back him. I know the haters are going to get all over this, but there is a bright future in the coming years.

Durham is a stud and yes he would not be the player he is without his support staff. But I think he is that good, where the Camels would not be where they are without him. When you have a posotion player who is that good, he is a difference maker. You could replace any of the other kids (who are all doing an outstanding job) and they would not miss a beat.

I know Tyler and most of the other kids mentioned and they are all great kids. I'm typically not a huge Camel fan, but knowing so many of the kids on this team and knowing they are all respectful, polite, hard working kids they have made me a fan ths year.

No offense intended towards Campbell but they are not very good however they were the better team last night.

 

I guess I am one of the few that disagrees about the amount of talent at Boone, I see plenty of talent in the senior class and overwhelming talent in the sophomore class.

The defense did not play bad. The last touchdown shouldn't even count. Boone had their starters in still and CC had their JV team in so they should have scored. Other than that Boone is a big physical team. They had 6 at halftime and scored 2 times in the 2nd half and the last touchdown if you want to count it. CC defense just has to stop the mental mistakes and penalties.

I respect your opinion but would have to disagree. These kids have won on every level that they have played. The Junior class is the same that was 15 yards shy against Cov. Cath of playing HHS in the Freshman Championship.

 

You would be correct to say that this team does not have a lot of start power (besides Durham) but it is loaded with a ton athletes. I guess that's why they play the games on Friday night.

 

By the way no offense taken. Difference in opinion is what makes these boards fun.

Boone had trouble stopping Campbell's QB when he ran the ball. Also, nice trick play by Campbell before half to put a nail in the coffin.

 

 

Second week in a row Lickert has drawn up a trick play and been successful. Last week it was a halfback pass just before the half. Dude knows how to coach...plain and simple.

Durham ran for 220 yards on 26 carries 3 TDs. 10/13 passing 190 yards 2 TDs.

Take compliments that Tyler gets as compliments to the team. He will be the first to admit he doesn't do it alone. The Media, the fans, the message boards talk. The TEAM has accomplished great things with more to come. So enjoy any and all praise. Don't feel slighted. The team loves and supports each other. Fans need to do the same.

Have you seen their freshmen team play this year? Not trying to be critical, but they have played terribly all year. I know freshmen success doesnt always equate to varsity wins, but it sure doesnt hurt to have those kids experience a winning culture and then carry it forward. IMO the culture at boone is not a winning one at the present, and I dont see it changing any time soon.
