Clinton: 'I take responsibility' for security ahead of Benghazi attack - CNN.com

"I take responsibility" for what happened on September 11, Clinton said in an interview with CNN's Elise Labott soon after arriving in Lima, Peru, for a visit. The interview, one of a series given to U.S. television networks Monday night.

Water on a wild fire?

Cauterization before the debate?

Is she only taking responsibility for the security and not for the youtube lies?

If it's truly Hillary's fault the why hasn't Obama asked for her resignation?

Has he ever done that from any senior person for anything?

Seems like the mafia. There is only one way out.

I believe Clinton has a lot of responsibility for the deaths of our people, as this is part of her job. She should have made sure Obama and everyone else knew the situation and what to do to protect our people. For her failure to inform everyone and/or push hard to protect our people she should resign. As for Obama, he has no honor and would never take responsibility for anything that goes wrong.

I was no Jimmy Carter fan, but the man had honor and manned up when it was time. In particular, when the raid to recuse our people in Iran went haywire, he accepted all responsibility for its failure. While I disagree with him politically to this day, he has by respect for being willing to act like a true leader.

Taking responsibility for something because you are the head of something and taking responsibility for something you did or did not do/or know are two totally different things. She is responsible for over 60,000 people, 275 posts. Would you want to be 100% responsible for everything that 60,000+ people do?

As she said, intelligence people make these decisions, no one ever said that Sec. Clinton, Pres Obama or VP Binen knew anything, plus there was a lot of confusion in the beginning on what happened and who did what, as time goes by all of the information will be studied in hopes we are better prepared next time. Too bad it happened during election season where there will be a rush to judgement.

Sec. Clinton is stepping down even if Pres Obama wins, beginning of next year, but not over this, she has made this clear last year.

I would think that something this serious would have been brought to her attention, if not, then someone else's head should roll. She is the one in charge and should have made it known this type of situation should be reported to her immediately. If that was not the case, she was not up to the job and should have never had it in the first place. But secretary like President, not up for the job.
