Congrats to Dusty. Condolences to many of the vocal Cincinnati baseball fans and also to those of us who will have to listen to daily whining by them for the next two years.

You don't have to, you choose to.

It is unavoidable if you listen to sports talk or talk baseball with people you know.

I will also say that my activity in Reds threads on this site dropped as the season went on and became minimal by the end of the year. So I did take your advice on that front.

Agreed, this guy at my work would complain every single morning about something Dusty did the night before.

Now if only we can get you to stop whining about it, things will be good.

Good. He deserved it and did a good job.

VOR, those people would complain regardless of the manager. The guy has more stats, spray charts, experience, knowledge and info from the players than all people complaining about him combined, yet they still complain. The beauty is, he doesn't care.

No surprise. Glad to hear it. He deserved it.

I agree. He deserves it. I hope he gets that World Series Championship in the next two years. I'm not saying there won't be a time I criticize Dusty over the next 2 years, but I'm on board with the extension.

I agree with you. I said many times this summer that the only thing Cincinnati baseball fans love more than their Reds is complaining about whoever is managing the Reds. They complain almost daily about every manager since 1970 except Davey, Lou and Sparky.

There's no coincidence that Sparky and Lou also had the best players when managing. Good players makes good managers/coaches. Why is that so hard for some to grasp?

I'm more worried about the off season moves than I am with who manages this team.
