GC_Football_Coach Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 District Champs. Way to go eagles. BITW
The Cerebral Assassin Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Disappointing loss for the Rams, but the one that matters will be in five weeks. That's when someone will be packing their bags. We'll see if there's any differences, improvements, etc...in either team if (& probably when) the rematch in Westwood occurs.
GC_Football_Coach Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Maybe people will start givin the eagles a little respect now.
theguru Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 I am waiting for Ram's review of the game. That is if he ever comes back to BGP after this one...
sidelinedoc Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Congratulations to the Eagles. They dominated the LOS in the second half and they won the turnover battle. As I said on the prediction thread, that would decide the outcome. Raceland couldn't get the corner on the run game due to Fairview's speed. It was a great atmosphere with good athletes and some nice big plays. But when Beach went out of the game, Fairview pinned their ears back and came after the QB. And it was very effective. No doubt in my mind the best player on the field last night was Turner (#24). He is a legit football player and I can't wait until he graduates and goes to play somewhere in college.
Voice of Reason Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Maybe people will start givin the eagles a little respect now. The Eagles have been getting respect all year. Haven't they been ranked in the top 10 all season? Who has not been giving them respect? They proved they are better than Raceland and will move up in the rankings accordingly to what they have earned.
Ram Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 I am waiting for Ram's review of the game. That is if he ever comes back to BGP after this one... It was a great game, big plays on both sides, with some mistakes on both sides. It was a very physical game. Fairview ended up losing one of their skill players, and Raceland ended up losing one of their skill players. Both are probably just lost of the that game and will be back. Fairview was better and should have won. Raceland had a punt blocked and returned for the final Fairview score, and Raceland had the opportunity to score three times in the fourth quarter with the ball inside the red zone and Fariview's defense stopped them. The opportunities were there. Congratulations to Fairview, great game.
