Q - What would the Covington from Holmes to NCC be classified as ? - LOL

He didn't get booted. He left for whatever reason, but it wasn't for getting booted.

Good point Mex...kid just wanted a change of scenery I am sure.

The issue I have is kids getting booted and then other schools taking them with welcome arms.

Maybe his parents moved from Covington to Southgate and it made sense for him to transfer from Holmes to NCC for a "change of scenery". :ohbrother:

Q - My big issue is that we pick and choose when we want to question a kid transferring from one to school to another depending on which school you are tied to. We tend to see things differently when transfers happen at a rival school, etc...I for one, could care less which school kids are moving from and to. I still don't like the idea and unfortunately think it's only going to worse not better in the coming years. It's a trend that I as a No. Ky. Sports fan my whole life don't like.

I honestly dont care if you want to point out that the school my kids are affiliated with gets transfers for sports reasons. It happens, Highlands has a great sports program and is a Blue Ribbon School. See the Bruns twins...that was an actual transfer after Frosh football season. The rest of the kids that come to Highlands generally do so prior to their 9th grade year so I dont call that a transfer. Name one other player who transferred to Highlands after Frosh year in the past 10 yrs? I cant name any other than the Bruns Boys. I will also notate that the Bruns boys were outstanding young men who did not get booted out of Dixie or came with any baggage.

You do know that if you are kicked out of a Ky public high school no other public high school can take you, you're only option is private.

Q - What about the Adler twins in girls basketball from a few years back. I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure they attended Conner as freshman and then transferred to Highlands to play with Coach Richie? I'm guessing that was a legit transfer situation.

Anyway, I didn't make my earlier comments as a slight at Highlands whatsoever, just giving my opinion on the whole "transfer" idea in general, so sorry if you took it that way. I also mentioned how much I am opposed to the idea no matter what the school is. If you don't think that people's opinions are skewed towards their own biases of the school they follow when this topic comes up then you are wrong.

John Drennen and Justin Johnston.

I didn't know that. Is that a written rule? What if you can't afford private school? No way they let you sit home.

I assume you mean just those who ended up playing basketball, correct?

John Drennen and Justin Johnston.

Thanks....decent players but not All State by any means.

Yes but I did mention the Bruns boys who are football players. On the football side...the only ones I can think of outside of Drennan and Justin Johnston is Mitchell and Ruby.

Were you not on here in 2003 and 2004? Hell, 3 from CCH alone.
