Historically speaking, Highlands has allows been in the game or winning, except for last year, in the first half and Elder pulled away in the 2nd half.

 

Highland used to have players go both ways. As I understand it that is not the norm any longer. Elders size and depth will wear down Highlands.

Well, if Highlands happens to win...

 

... with Elder's big win at Moeller this year, a Highlands victory over Elder will look a lot more impressive than the Bluebirds' win over Elder last year (I think Elder won only two games last season). Also, I know a lot of people pointed to the Elder suspensions prior to last year's Highlands game as the reason why Elder lost the game, so another Highlands victory this year would end that kind of talk.

Elder won this game with their 2nd/3rd string QB. I wonder if they'll have their starter back for the Highlands game. The Peters kid is a good player, but has very little varsity experience, let alone qb experience.

Yes, but Highlands gets 3 weeks to get healthy. They sat starters for the last two and will only need them for a half this week. Meanwhile Elder has played St X, St E's, Moeller, and Winton Woods. See what I am saying?
