Scoring summary to follow and note there will be only numbers for HHS as the HHS coaching staff didn't bother to bring a roster with them.

Once again poor tackling hurt CovCath in the second half.

Highlands last TD, covCath had the back stop for no gain, but like all Highlands backs never stop, CovCath does not wrap up and a long TD run.

How did #5 and #7 do for the Birds? Heard # 5 had a big Big BIG game.

I wish I would of known. You could of used my Handy Pocket Roster! I'm always using it to see which "SCIT" I coached the year before. It has saved me so many times this year.

Yep #5 had big game. I wasn't at the game, but did CCH get close to the endzone? Did they throw to the endzone? How did it end?

Honestly a Freshmen teams coach that doesn't bring a roster, just puzzles me and what we did have, was via the coach in the press box when we asked for some names to the better player!

It ended with CCH QB running out of bounds on 4th down with no attempt to throw down the field. I personally think he could of picked up the first down but there would of been only time for 1 more play. But who knows, that's why you play the game. Anything could of happened with another pass to the endzone. Birds win!!!

2 td passes for Highlands is a good sign. I had been reading where the freshmen were not passing the ball much this year.

It's puzzles me too...Maybe HHS was trying to hide something. Maybe they changed some jerseys at half because #5 was a man amongst boys in the 2nd half. Didn't see that much out of him in the 1st half. Very strange! Might be something to look into....

Very good sign.

How did Kendall look tonight?

Kendall had a few nice runs for short to moderate gains. When he ran wide, CC did a nice job stringing it out and stopping him for no gain. Having him back takes a lot of pressure off Daughtery. Daughtery is a workhorse. He just doesn't quit on his runs and when he breaks out, he is hard to catch. He outran the defense tonight once he was in the defensive backfield.

Robinson was a force on defense. That kid can play!

Mitchell Cain deserves a big pat on the back. He showed up big tonight with 2 TD catches. On the second TD catch, he went up with a defender on him. The ball was tipped up and he stayed with it. Great job Mitch.
