October 3, 201213 yr I was just wondering, as I something do..... But does it bother you as a Northern Kentuckian or as a Kentuckian in general, that our President, while flying into CVG (that's Covington Ky.) a boatload of times, has never, not even once (to my knowledge) stopped to talk to anyone on our side of the River, in his many and I mean many trips to our area, to suck up to the those in Ohio and I use the term suck up correctly in my sentence! Okay, maybe he has spoken to someone while walking down or up the steps of the plane but never has he ventured into NKy much less Kentucky (again that I am aware of) in all his years of being our President or running for the office! I understand that he isn't well liked in the Bluegrass but still, while being in the area as much as he has in the last year or so, not even a photo opt anywhere but getting on or off the plane? And we in NKy think of ourselves as stepchildren of Ky, what are we when our President won't even take a side trip while in the area, time after time, after time, to visit in NKy!
October 3, 201213 yr Has nothing to do with whether he likes Kentucky or whether he's popular in Kentucky. This simple truth is this: there's nothing to be gained by stopping here. He's going to lose Kentucky, and he's going to lose it badly. Why bother?

It's just the nature of the beast, KY doesn't matter in a sense that it's not in play for the election which is why neither side has shown up here. I'm frankly shocked that the VP debate is going to be in KY as opposed to OH, VA, FL, NC, CO, IA or NV. Didn't he give a speech from Covington a couple of years ago with the Brent Spence in the background?

I am sure he didn't know which of the 57 states he was in when he landed. He probably really thought he had landed in Ohio. Kentucky never gets any respect. Doesn't matter if, polically, it would not do him any good to stop in Kentucky. I thought he was the President of all of the United States. As for Governor Romney, he should have stopped also. He wants to be the President of all of the United States.

October 3, 201213 yr As the others have stated, Kentucky is already decided for this election so why would either candidate waste valuable time and resources spending any time in KY. It doesn't bother me at all.

It's purely politics and numbers but according to WCPO in July of 2012 he's visited KY 3 times with 2 of those being to NKY. Unlike many, I don't make my mind up, until the election day! I honestly don't understand those in Ohio who have already voted, as so much can and has happened in the past prior to election day. Come on, he was on his way to Cincinnati on that date and it was just as I said on the way down or up to the plane that he spoke to our Governor, who just so happens to be a Democrat and my guess is the other trip to NKy your speaking of, was of the same type of trip. BTW did The President venture off the base at all that day?
October 3, 201213 yr Curious...do you think if every state held it's primary on the same day, that you'd get the same response. I mean I understand it if one state is traditionally a blue state or a red state when it comes to the general election. But, if instead of spreading the primaries out over a three or four month time period, then wouldn't candidates be somewhat forced to venture into some areas that they traditionally don't go? (At least in the spring)
