PRP ahead of Eastern.

In my view you have Trinity in a class by itself. Then, St X..... with Scott County, Butler and PRP just behind X, then a fall off to everyone else.

What has happened to 6A football, especially in Lexington???

Layayette, on paper, has the most talent of all the Lex 6a teams, but, there performances have been so inconsistent, I just can't see putting them in the Top 10, simply off a win over BStation, who's record looks good, but, haven't beaten anyone thats even close to a Top 10 team, so, I have my reservations about both those teams.. I think I'd replace them with Campbell Co and SKenton.. I'd also move Henderson down to 10th.. They're a decent team, so, I'll give them a Top 10 ranking, but, they aren't any better than 10th, imo..I think PRP, if anything, is underrated at this time.. They've been about as impressive as anyone not named Trinity in there class..

Has anyone in 6A played a weaker schedule then PRP? Who wouldn't look impressive playing a schedule againt opponents who are a combined 13-26. The only team with a winning record they've played is 2A DeSales. If PRP was't from Louisville they probably wouldn't even be in the top ten much less 6th.

Simon Kenton gets a lot of criticism for not playing more 6A teams. But the fact of the matter is that the strongest teams (outside of T, X and Scott) are all at lower classes , and SK does play Scott. SK played Danville as its first game and Danville looks like they would be a top 10 team if they were in 6A. Seems to me that folks over rate male student body size as a metric for football competitiveness.

Is it PRP's fault Manual isnt any good so that does not qualify as a quality win ? PRP still has to face Butler and Central . They were ranked in the top ten begining of the season and have done what they are supposed to do . Yes they have some issues on D and chose to play several schools within Jefferson County that they have played every year for decades like Doss and Valley. When PRP gets beat by Butler or upset by a unranked team then by all means kick them out of the top ten.

Not sure if you meant to quote me but I didn't mention SK.

No it's PRP's fault they play the other crappy teams. You don't get better playing Doss and Valley. if they want to make a serious run at challenging T they need to play better teams. As far as giving them credit for beating a bunch of terrible teams I just don't see it.

Nobody in the state of Kentucky is going to be making a run at T in the foreseeable future. The problem with criticizing schedule is that you truly do not know the strength of schedule until after the season is done. In addition, state wide, except for the top 3, all of 6A is pretty weak. In fact, if you take away T, 5A is a lot stronger than 6A.

In NKy, 3 6A teams played Cov. Cath, none of them scored a point! Do you think those offenses gained confidence from playing those games? I don't think so.

Sorry but that's a losers mentality. "We can't beat good teams so we'll play a bunch of scrubs so we can at least have a good record and people will think we're good."

Maybe it's NKY 6A that stinks. Henderson beat the #4 5A team at their place. They were also having pretty good success against BG's D.

As far as not knowing strength of schedule until after the season, I couldn't disagree more. We're more than half way through, I you can't get a pretty good idea of what most teams are you aren't paying attention.
