Bengal Maniac
Really good game with two evenly matched teams. This was the Peterson show. 2 alley oop Td's with guys all over him, a pick and several knock downs. Game went to the last 20 seconds or so with the outcome in doubt. NCC had the ball at the Holmes 20 and Scruggs picked it off at the goal line. Both teams were really offensively challenged most of the night. Neither team could move the ball on the ground for the most part. NCC scored with 2 minutes to go on a pass over the middle. Ncc had a TD called back on a penalty in the 1st half. These teams brought the lumber. Several pops you could hear all over the stadium. They could play 10 times and probably split.

The play before this one Franzen and Ruwe are both WIDE OPEN in the endzone and BUTKUS. The balls Peterson caught, and there was more than the two td's, should never been allowed to be caught by the defense.:madman: He had guys all over him and they never left the ground to defend the catches, TOTALLY INEXCUSABLE. The Breds are "offensively challenged" there is no other way to put it. I will say the field conditions did neither team a favor tonight.

He is also really great at shielding the DB's and making the catch. I was down in both end zones on both TD's. He is D-1 WR but will never get there because of other issues IMO. You are correct NCC had a great opportunity on the play before the pick. Peterson fell but an accurate pass and it's a TD. The field was tough. Both teams slipped all night. These teams played hard, nothng to ashamed of with either.

I wouldn't consider this that big of an upset. Holmes is actually a pretty solid team with a lot athletes and this isn't your typical Newcath team. Not taking anything away from Mr. Peterson, he made nice catches on these balls, however the QB throw up "rain-makers" and the defenders looked like deer in head-lights. I do think both teams played hard tonight and Congrats to the Bulldogs on a nice victory. The last 2 and a half minutes of this one were fun to watch. Bengal Maniac
IMO not bad. Ncc had a TD called back on a holding penalty and Holmes had iced the game at the 2:00 mark with a fake punt for a 1st down that was called back because of holding. Overall, there are always calls that you might question, but I don't think it decided the outcome. NCC had a chance to win the game and didn't make the play. Holmes did. Lawnboy13
How was the officiating? I don't think it was bad. I will say Holmes needs to be a little quicker on running plays. They had to have at least 6 delay of game penalties called against them, and should of had a few more according to the crowd I was near.

I wasn't at the game but Peterson makes those catches against anyone and everyone. Honestly, Holmes should throw up 10 long bloopers to him every week. He will come down with 8 of them. It is a real shame the kid probably isn't going to take advantage of his talent and get a free college education.
