I was at the game & didn't have the greatest vantage point. When he turned to throw to second I was surprised, but still thought that if he hits Cozart (or whoever was covering) in the numbers, that he gets the runner. Regardless, I think in that situation you take the easy out. Haven't seen the replay on Kemp's game-winning hit, but I'm pretty sure it was an 0-2 count & from where I was sitting, it looked like Marshall gave him too good of a pitch with that count. I was really hoping the Reds would clinch. I was recording a lot of stuff on my phone, hoping I could post it on here after the win.
September 22, 201214 yr Randy Parker, you enjoying watching The Clinchmas Story in September?? I really thought it was going to happen. Stadium was really buzzing tonight, especially in the bottom of the ninth. LRCW made mention of it, but before Bruce came up to bat to start the bottom of the ninth, they showed a replay on the big board of the 2010 division clinching homer. Then they put something up that said something like "It happened before...It can happen again." I was videoing everything in bottom of the ninth. I think you guys would have gotten a kick out of me getting arrested running onto the field in my snowsuit, celebrating the division championship. Edited September 22, 201214 yr by Randy Parker
September 22, 201214 yr I'll be at the game tomorrow and really hope they win. I'm sure that the atmosphere is awesome being at a game that is won to clinch the division.
