Dixie Heights 33 Conner 31

Featured Replies

Your quarterback puts up 400 yards of total offense. Your stud all-around receiver running back gets off. You score 31. You LOSE?

You give up 26 in one half to a team with a new offense who just came off of a 54 point drubbing.

Your D can't get off of the field against the Rebels.

You give up 21 against a team trying to figure out how to win and who their qb is.

When is the last time Conner had a solid defense? Ryle does. Boone does. Cooper does. What is it about Hebron?

Might be time to look at some changes on that side of the ball. A buddy of mine who was there last night said that their D looked silly chasing Dixie's QB around the field.

He also said that the holes Dixie's running backs were running through looked like the Grand Canyon. It's to bad, because Conner has such a good offense, but will have their success limited with that D.

Great win for Coach Brossart and the Colonels.

Obviously, I'm disappointed in how the Cougars lost but I am glad for Dixie to taste some success under the new regime.

Overall feeling of this thread is that it was a great win for Dixie and I agree with that sentiment.

Having said that, could it be a great win without most posters having a great deal of respect for this Conner team? I mean if Conner was deemed terrible, would it be a great win by Dixie? Would the Dixie players have been celebrating like they just won their district? The answer is a resounding NO.

Keep your heads up Conner players. The sun came up today in Hebron and all is good. Think about the fact that you have not had your starting lineup intact for one game. When you do, the magic will happen. Keep your eye on the prize gentleman. Keep working hard.

Onside kicked due to 15 yd personal foul penalty in Dixie coaching staff during hall time. Conner kicked from the Dixie 45. On side kick was recovered on the 35.

What happened there?

Due to a 15 yd penalty on the Dixie Bench at the end of the first half, Conner kicked off from the Dixie 45. They decided to take a shot with an onside kick as a result of the field position. Conner touched the ball prior to it traveling 10 yards, this Dixie ball on their own 35.

No Pike, no Cohorn, no Bruns.

Did Pike transfer back?

!

Sad to say but losses like this just happen. If you had asked me Monday last week I would've thought Conner would've beat them by 40
