Agreed. It says more about national baseball attendance than anything. Hard to get to a lot of games and not spend way too much money. There is a tipping point of what they can charge for tickets and concessions. It can't go much higher around here.

Ain't it the truth. 4 bottles of water...$22.00. Checked with GABP management before our last trip, you can bring your own drinks and snacks, which we did. You can't bring glass bottles or cans, you can only use a soft sided cooler no bigger than 16 X 16 X 8, and they prefer if you bring your snacks in a clear bag. We still bought hot dogs etc., but having our own drinks and peanuts and snack crackers saved us a ton of money at the game.

What is the best medicine for a struggling offense? Yep, that's right. Here comes the Astros pitching staff into GA Batting Practice. (Of course, but for Bruce's heroics, they would have lost 2/3 to the 'stros last weekend!!!)

 

I think they have to focus on getting the #1 seed against the Natinals in order to have something to play for. Coasting into postseason is great for saving arms & setting up rotations, but it can leave a team lagging and unable to flip the switch back on when they need it.

 

Advantage of facing a Wild Card team that had to burn a starter in the WC game is pretty significant. In a perfect world, 3 teams end up tied for the 2 WCs OR 2 teams end up tied for the 2nd WC and a team burns 2 or 3 starters before starting the NLDS.

Right and part of the thing I fell in love with as a kid was going to games to get some peanuts, a hot dog, a soft drink and a couple other things. I really just can't afford to do that for my kids and prices aren't going to go down. So it's fine to eat before you go and save the money. It just isn't the same experience.
