Votto making another rehab start tonight in Dayton, will not join the team this weekend....Starting to wonder if we're going to see him at all before the postseason.

^ John Fay said he expected Votto to be in the lineup on Monday.

I saw that, but he also expected him to be in the lineup when the Cards came to town last weekend. Then he said September 1st, now it's Monday.

Fay is one of the more clueless beat writers around. Also for a journalist, he's got some of the worst grammar I've ever seen.

Fay also had Votto in the lineup beginning tonight. And then had Votto in the lineup beginning Saturday. He is bound to be right sooner or later. :D

With the Reds up 8.5 games, I think it would be prudent to move very slowly on putting Votto back in to the trenches.

Love seeing Heisey back in there, although Stubbs usually hits well in Houston.

Dusty must have hit his head. Best lineup of the year. We may win!:dancingpa

Really was interested to see if he put Stubbs in there. So glad he didn't. Maybe they'll leave the bum off the postseason roster.....One can hope. :idunno:

Reds ‏@Reds

Gregorius, Ondrusek, Phipps and Rodriguez to be promoted tomorrow, Mesoraco Sunday, Redmond and Villarreal on Tuesday.

^Nice! Will be nice to see if Didi, Phipps, or Rodriguez are given any playing time.

I am a bit surprised Negron isn't included though.

I guess they are just going to use Villarreal to eat a few innings. He's not very good.

Gotcha. :thumb:

This is actually one series I'd like for Stubbs to be in the lineup, simply because of this.

Who is Negron? I don't know much about the Reds' farm system.
