Reds to play Los Angeles Angels on Opening Day 2013

Yes, that's right. The Angels.

 

 

The 2013 schedule is not officially set, but the tentative one has an interesting twist for the Reds. For the first time in history, the Reds will open against an American League team. As it stands, the Reds will open on Monday, April 1, against the Los Angeles Angels at Great American Ball Park.

That will be followed by an off day Tuesday, then games on Wednesday and Thursday.

With the Houston Astros moving to the American League next year, there will be an interleague series going on throughout the season.

The Angels, with Albert Pujols and likely Rookie of the Year Mike Trout, are obviously a top draw.

I've hated interleague play since day 1, and I still hate it.

I hate having separate leagues. It makes no sense to do it. NFL nor the NBA does it, why should baseball?

Yeah, frightened. They need to add the DH to all of baseball and get rid of American and National. Go to an East/West or North/South/East/West format.
