August 18, 201214 yr Not to get in the name calling game, but I'll say that I believe Rolen is a much better defensive player than Frazier at 3B. I want Frazier to play everyday as well, but I'm not making the argument for his defense over Rolen's no way. No rules against calling yourself a name.

I'm with you with the Rolen/Frazier comparison, but dude, Rolen is highly skilled at the hot corner. The only play he can't make any more is the ball between the mound and the line off one foot. Everything else within his range (which is the same as Frazier's frankly) he is cash.

Again no it's not. It's likely Rolen is having a hot streak. I would guess Frazier has better numbers in Ugust than Rolen. Frazier has more hom runs in the last 28 games than Rolen has all year. The power advantage is a big deal.

Again, you're the one who brought up the numbers since the all-star break. You were wrong, just admit it. Frazier has clearly been better over the entire course of the season.

Again I'm not saying he isn't good on defense. I'm saying Frazier is also good. Maybe I shouldn't have said Frazier is better. My actual point was and should have been that Frazier isn't so much worse on D that he should sit when Votto returns.
