August 18, 201214 yr And he had to miss a week bc he can't stay healthy. I still say it's far more likely that Rolen is on a hot streak than he will hit .350+ the rest of the year. In fact I would wager anything that anyone wants to that he won't do that. Frazier on the other hand is producing post all star break very similar to pre all star break making it much more likely he will continue to do so. Frazier produces runs. It's that simple. He has far more power than Rolen. Not many players hit .350. I don't think anyone expects him to do that. You said you wanted to compare their numbers since the all-star break. We did that. Rolen's #'s are better in that amount of time. Plain and simple. There's no way to get around that fact.
August 18, 201214 yr Reds lineup for the nIghtcap: Stubbs 8, Valdez 6, Phillips 4, Ludwick 7, Frazier 3, Bruce 9, Rolen 5, Mesoraco 2, Redmond 1

Since the all star break Frazier has more hits, runs, home runs, and RBI's than Rolen. Rolen has played well too, but Frazier is producing more and more often.

August 19, 201214 yr Like the 9th on Thursday in the pouring rain when they were down by a bunch, you have to love the way the Reds keep clawing and scratching.
August 19, 201214 yr Who are we kidding. The way the Reds are pitching tonight, we probably need about 8.
