Heh Heh !!!!:D
And you'd be wrong again...

Again, you're the one who brought up the numbers since the all-star break. You were wrong, just admit it. Frazier has clearly been better over the entire course of the season.

.345 with 4 HR's and 14 RBI's is better to me than .423 with 0 and 4

Frazier in August before today: .328, .391, .603, .994 4HR 14RBI's

Rolen in August before today: .393, .485, .643, 1.128 1HR 4RBI's

Again, the only argument you have is that Frazier has more power. Rolen can't control the number of people who are on base when he bats. RBI's are a terrible stat to judge a hitter.

1. I have no idea where you came up with your numbers, but they're wrong.

The power advantage is huge. He has more RBI's because he hits home runs. I was going to say I did the stats by hand so they may be off a bit. I stand by my argument that Frazier has had the better month.

I was looking at ESPN and they didn't include the game today. Even after the first game today Rolen has a better OPS during August. Rolen missed like a week which also explains such a huge difference in RBI's.

So isn't the great power difference a good enough reason to play him over Rolen?

Fail...

Not really considering Frazier has far better home run and RBI numbers. Oh and he's shown a better ability to stay healthy.

Game 1 down, game 2 should be interesting. What is the lineup most likely?

Isn't slugging % supposed to represent power? If so, Rolen has that advantage since the All-Star Break as well. Stats don't lie. .584 vs .558. Add that with the .100 point advantage he has in OBP and it's pretty clear that Rolen has been better than Rolen since the break.

Again, RBI's area terrible stat to judge hitters on.

But you fail to look at OBP, Slugging, OPS. Which are much better stats to judge hitters on.

Frazier has been very productive since the break. Rolen has simply better and the stats support that.

No really...

And he had to miss a week bc he can't stay healthy. I still say it's far more likely that Rolen is on a hot streak than he will hit .350+ the rest of the year. In fact I would wager anything that anyone wants to that he won't do that. Frazier on the other hand is producing post all star break very similar to pre all star break making it much more likely he will continue to do so.

Frazier produces runs. It's that simple. He has far more power than Rolen.

No really...

If HR's and RBI's don't matter why do the people that produce the most of them get paid so well?

Yes OPS is probably the best stat to look at. Ignoring home runs is a mistake though.
