I see a team returning 25 seniors. I see a team that lost by seven to the Rebels in the playoffs. Boone lost quite a few good players from last year while it doesn't appear that MC lost many at all.

I too had picked Madison Central to win. My reasoning was Boone had to travel to EKU.....

I have to MC until I see how Boone is replacing what they lost from last season.

I just used my normal procedure:

1. Meditate for two hours

2. Pray two rosaries

3. Toss a coin

4. Pray two more rosaries

5. Toss the coin again to assure that the same result repeats

6. If the coin toss does not repeat, toss it again and go with the two out of three.

7. Submit the results to BGP and pray some more. :lol: :sssh: :lol:

Add contest expert westsider to the mix...

Madison Central got on a district-winning run at the end of the season last year with a young team that now returns with a lot of experience. Boone County, on the other had, lost a lot to graduation and must rebuild this season with young talent. In addition, as gold sunrise noted, the game is being played at EKU which should benefit Madison Central. I think that both of these teams lie just outside the Top 10 (11-15), and that it will be a close game; but Madison Central has the early season advantage and should win.

Looks like so far Ox is on this one...who knows how second half goes but I'm a believer in his system...

Ox and west were right like almost always...

I was just looking through the NKY regional contest picks...and it looks like Goldie beat Ox to the punch. I'd have to assume that she's going to be taking the week 1 lead over Ox (among others).
