August 5, 201214 yr Of course the Reds should be dominating right now they have a cake schedule this lat part of the season. If they aren't able to take care of business then there is something wrong. It doesn't help them prepare for the playoffs though, just IMO. Um, the Reds are 17-4 in their last 21 against teams with winning records. And I don't care if they're play AA teams, 22 of 25 against anyone is darn impressive.
August 5, 201214 yr Haha. That's funny. Just because they're professionals they'll be ready? Try telling the Miami Heat that last year, try telling the Phillies that too, oh wait try telling every team that. Makes no sense to say that because they're professionals they'll be ready, because there should be a lot of things they could/should be able to do "because they're professionals" but they don't. Horrible reason.Your view is as laughable as saying the team that wins it every year does so "because they want it more."
August 5, 201214 yr Did I say they want it more? No your the one that had the "they're professionals so they'll be ready" which is hilarious. Thanks for the laugh this morning.

August 5, 201214 yr I'm not a huge fan of the red jerseys they have on today. 5 months into the season and you complain about the Sunday jerseys?
August 6, 201214 yr 5 months into the season and you complain about the Sunday jerseys? It seemed like the correct place for it.

If they aren't able to take care of business then there is something wrong. It doesn't help them prepare for the playoffs though, just IMO. There is a major difference between "taking care of business" and losing only 4 times since the All-Star Break regardless of who you have played. This is just IMO but "taking care of business" isn't always as easy as it sounds... i.e. 2011 Atlanta Braves.

The 2011 Braves pitching staff suffered a ton of injuries late in the year that really hurt them.
August 6, 201214 yr The 2011 Braves pitching staff suffered a ton of injuries late in the year that really hurt them. What's that guys name the Reds have on the DL? That, before the injury, was thought to be their entire offense? That's what impresses me the most about this current streak.

I could be mistaken, but the Braves lost more than one player last year for significant DL stints, particularly late in the year.
August 6, 201214 yr Come on HB20 let's not turn this into a Braves vs. Reds thread, we will save that for the playoffs. No since in arguing with Reds fans.
