July 30, 201214 yr Watching the parents of the US gymnast while doing her routine was great. Looked like they were on a rollercoaster. I thought it was funny as well and definitely looked like they were riding a coaster. I felt awful for Jordan, sucks that she could not move on with her teammates when she will probably have one of the top 5-6 scores. I think that rule makes no sense. Felt even worse for her that she had to stand there and listen to Gabby and Aly talk about how this was their dream while waiting for her interview. Hopefully the girls can get her a gold Tuesday in the Team Competition.
July 30, 201214 yr ^Agreed. Top 24 gymnasts should be allowed to compete for the All Around, not the 2 best from each team. Edited July 30, 201214 yr by hoops5

July 31, 201214 yr Our men's gymnastics team completely collapsed. I sure how we don't see something similar from the women tonight. Missy Franklin is awesome! Very happy for her. She seems extremely genuine.
July 31, 201214 yr Enjoyed the men's backstroke with USA snagging gold and silver. Fun to watch Cincy's St X Thoman get the silver! :thumb:
July 31, 201214 yr So am I the only person that thinks Phelps is going to be a bit of a bust/flop in this Olympics? I mean I can see him winning 1-2 events but I don't think we will see any thing like the last Olympics. Was telling a buddy of mine he hasn't seemed hungry sense Beijing. I almost wonder if to an extent he stayed competitive long enough to qualify for the Olympics, get the endorsements, get payed and then ride off in to the sunset regardless of how he performs in London. I don't think many expected him to come anywhere near what he did four years ago since that was a once-in-a-lifetime performance. He would have had a gold already had Lochte not choked it away in the relay. He has a strong chance of winning gold tonight. He will still go down as the greatest swimmer ever.

If anything I think that Lochte is the one whose not living up to expectations more than Phelps. And Missy Franklin is blowing expectations out of the water.
